about me

Hi! I’m Davy Chiu. I graduated (2012) from the University of Waterloo with an MBET (Masters of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Technology). My background is in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia. My academic focus was primarily in embedded systems design and integration, and low-level programming and optimization.

Through project work, I have worked on medical robotics, practiced agile programming methodologies, and managed small multi-disciplinary teams. Globally, I have worked in Japan as a developer in IT at a business institution for a year and in Uganda as a volunteer at an AIDS organization for six weeks. Currently, I am a Project/Product Manager in the Government of Canada.

Some of the things that provoke my interest include wireless mesh networking, intelligent power conservation and web 2.0/3.0 applications. In my spare time when I am not thinking about or working on business ventures, I like to play violin, workout, and fix things.
